Do you see the formation know as the "Giant Head" ( top right) in this shot? The WISHING ARCH gets its name from the "fact" that if you make a wish while viewing the Giant's Head through the Arch your wish is sure to be granted!

I am sure that anyone from TN community that ever gets the chance to visit Northern Ireland will check out the north antrim coast and follow the trail of my posts as I work my way down the coast ;o)

Stretching from Curran Strand to Dunluce Castle ( in the distance ) are the unique limestone cliffs of the White Rocks. These soft sedimentary rocks have been carved through centuries into a labyrinth of caves and arches, magical headlands of distinguishable forms rise out of the ocean with names like Shelagh's Head, the Giants Head, the Wishing arch.

When the light is perfect it shows. This is a very well composed shot with a real feeling of quiet vastness which one comes to expect from a place like this. Well seen.

Hi Steven,
Fantastic shot! the colours, the sharpness and the beauty of this wonderful place all come through. It is not a question of "if" but "when" I'll visit Ireland.
