More Mara, which are becoming a bit of a regular for me. They are widespread in Whipsnade zoo where I have an annual pass and they are easy to shoot because they are so tame! I spotted this adult and young breastfeeding just as I was driving out of the park. The sun was setting which has given the animals a reddish glow.

For more info & pictures of the Mara, see my other posts here and here

Hi Andy, this is such a lovely image. Very intimate.
Great comp and sharpness. The colours are lovely and you've used the light really well.
A great shot, thanks for posting.

Great shot Andy,
Well composed, good detail and nice late day lighting.
Good colours, sharpness and POV.
Thanks for posting, have a good weekend.

I also have an annual pass to Whipsnade/london, if you fancy a day there in December give me a shout.

Very nice shot Andy, I really like the lighting on the subjects and the composition is framed nicely. Paul :)

Goodevening Andy. This is a good shot my g&w-friend! :) It really is. The light is very good, very warm. You captured a very special moment. Colors are great and the details are as always very clear. Excellent exposure and well composed. What is the white thing on the ear of the mother Mara? Well done & TFS!

Curious animals, I just saw plenty of them, even posted one earliear this week, the Argentineans call the "liebre Patagonico" or Patagonian hare even though officialy mara is the name or cavy. This is a wonderful picture, mother and cub. Until you see the speed they can attain those hind legs almost kangaroo like seem very ackward.

Very tender moment you have captured here, Andy, and I like it very much.

The lighting adds the warmest glow to the setting and subjects, POV and details are great.

Well composed, thank you for sharing it with us.

Hi Andy
This is a gorgeous scene. The beautiful light sets off the reddish fur. Fantastic details and pretty green grass to set it off nicely.
Regards Toni

Well caught and exposed.

What a tender scene, Andy. Very sharp details and great composition. The light and colors are wonderful. Well done and TFS. : )

Andy, this is a great photo. Great colours, excellent sharpness, a very nice composition. Thanks for sharing.

Hello Andy!
It's lovely shot. Very clear and natural. Colours are superb and the warm lighting creates exceptional mood. The white thing on the ear is a bit distracting, but not so strongly to destroy this perfect shot.
I like it very much :)
