[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Not the 1st time this group of Ash tree's (Fraxinus excelsior) as appeared in one of my images. they are on the far side of the small road out side the gate to the nursery I run and as I tend to lock up as the light fades it has become one of my favourite places to try for different pictures.
The 1st was post to Trek Earth, have a look at this link to "Black Trees" taken a little earlier in the year, but I like the way the sun sets through them at different places through the year, and my hard drive has numberous other example some not as good but all thoughts in light and composition.
Taken with a Tripod stood in the middle of the road, with more than one ear listening for the cars that come round the corner (top right) at high speed well dodgy place to stand at twighlight without somebody to watch your back.
Metered of the brighter area of the sky and refocused on the nearest big Ash to try and get it sharp.
Know i know there is a lot of noise in the sky and the recomended method of control is Neat image unfortunatlynot a program I am happy using so I live with the results for the moment. For me it is more about the form and line of it, I am sure with the new camera this will be partly solved when it arrives, you will all be amongst the 1st to see the results.
Hope you like and Happy New Year to you All.

Hi Robert, your sky here is just beautiful, but the Ash trees make the whole scene look even more superb.
I can't use Neat Image either, but find Noiseware Std Edition better and easier to use when needed.

Wishing you a happy New Year and I hope 2006 is good for you.

Hi Rob, I don't see too much noise! Anyway, very nice colours and a good perspective. Nice composition too.

What neat image have you got? The free one offers little choice but the paid for version has a more control, sayign that the only noise reduction I use now is the one in PS Elements.

Robert, I don't see much noise either.

Anyway, it's a very beautiful image.

Great sharpness and mixture between light and dark shades. The composition is excellent.

Happy 2006.

Happy New Year Robert!

Very good late light effect and I like your composition Robert. I really don't see any noise problem here at all. Well done!
Happy "Nikon" New Year!

Hello Robert

The first day of 2006 is nearly over and what a great day it has been. I must agree with the other comments that I don't see any 'noise' in this shot. I see you use Photoshop CS2 for PP work. Try an action called ISO PS NR which you can download free from here. Nice colours in the shot and the silhouetted trees are quite beautiful. TFS.

I like the glow in the lower left corner contrasted with the deep blue in the upper right, a very balanced looking view. I love the way trees look against the sky, even a cloudy grey sky brings out their features so well. Nice photo, it is very warm and calming in it's mood.

Hi :)
this is an excellent composition.I have similar one in my photos-maybe I`ll posted it here one day :)
I enjoy it a lot, especially POV.
