Just thought that I would pop by and make sure you are all behaving yourselves.

Barrow's Goldeneye Female:
Medium-sized diving duck with black upperparts with contrasting white shoulder bars and white underparts. Head is large, glossy and purple-black with golden yellow eyes and a crescent-shaped white patch behind its usually dark bill. White wing patches are visible in flight. Female has dark brown hood, white collar, dark gray body, white wing patches and usually yellow-orange bill. Juvenile resembles female but with darker bill. Juvenile male has a faint white crescent on face.

Range and Habitat
Barrow's Goldeneye Female: Breeds from southeastern Alaska, east through parts of western Canada, and south to eastern Washington, southwestern Oregon, eastern California, northern Montana, and northwestern Wyoming. Also breeds in eastern Canada. Winters from southern Alaska, south along coast to central California, and locally from southern British Columbia and northern Montana, south to southwestern Arizona, Utah and Colorado. Also winters along East Coast. Preferred habitat include open lakes and small ponds, inland lakes and rivers; winters almost exclusively on salt water.

Hi Michael!

Nice shot. The bird is well exposed and in good focus. Color refexion on water looks very good and make a good BG. Pose and POV are very good.

Hi Michael,

She's a beauty and well done on the capture.
It looks a little flat, maybe a Contrast boost up to +5 or +7?
Also, the reflection would have been a real winner and increased the value of the composition.

IMO it need a little more contrats. The reflections are very nice.Well composed, good POV, nice colours and good detials.

Hello Michael, nice shot. The composition is great and there are some lovley relfections in the water. I think it is a little noisy in the BG. Nice shot though.
