Hi Jax
welcome, bad owl day it may be, but lovely eyes I see! Cute, Sweet and I love it. I thought they were white! See, here is a "zoo" shot that teaches me something new about the bird, one of my favourite raptors - actually, owls are not really really true raptors. Anybody care to explain the English?

If looks could kill - I love the eyes. One of the saddest things I've witnessed was a dying owl. I don't know the reason for its death, but when he passed on the yellow light in his eyes faded. That moment will stay with me for a long time. Good capure

Welcome on TN Jax - glad you found it. Excellent close up of this snowy owl as a first post. Dof is spot on setting off the stary eyes - well done.

A very strong portrait. Nice to have only one color except grey. He looks a bit gloomy and reminds me of a Firby. Someone put one in our office for a while, I can still hear his "Boooooorrring"

An expression is shown here - great job! I liked it the first time and I like it again!

Jax, Nice touch. I love the mask around the eyes. And those yellow's do come out. Very nicely done. Thanx for sharing.

Great portrait not showing
WHOLE the OWL!

I love this picture. Technically focus is good and exposure is perfect.

Artistically:
1)The tight cropping is wonderfull, it reminds me those close-up head shots we often see on covers of fashion magazines.
2)This almost monochrome picture with yellow eyes looks like a B&W picture with handpainted yellow eyes. I can feel it's not, but it looks like.
3)It reminds me those Carnival masks we often see in Europe and other places.

Nice work and TFS

Very cool and well postprocessed with the yellow separation.
