[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo on the Farne Islands and I know there are burnt out highlights.

The most difficult part of photographing these birds is they constantly attack you as they are protecting their nests (so you can't blame them) a hat is a must, especcially when you are follicley challenged like me.

I love this shot if only it didn't have those burnt out highlights. Any tips on how to avoid this without under exposing the rest of the photograph would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,

great capture of this very pretty bird, i like the blades of grass in the foreground that are in nicely sharp too. Perhaps a filter of some sort could help reduce the white glare?
