This is a photo I shot around sunset time about the small lake (rather a man-made canal ends at the Kiltha river) of Castlemartyr village. Strange to stay, I didn't find the name of the lake anywhere, although the canal was made in the 18th century (source: www.eastcork.ie). Anyway, I managed to make a couple of shots about the water surface and the silhouettes of the trees in March 2018, on a wonderfully clear day.

Photo: handheld; made with manual exposure and white balance. ISO 125, f/8, 1/100 sec.

Thanks for looking.

Update: now, when Peter also saw the image, I have to tell the truth this photo is actually upside down, I mean the water surface is at the top and the sky is at the bottom. Please have a look at the workshop for the original. And please excuse me if I confused you - humour is the salt of life. ☺

PP: applying a vertical flip.

Hi Laszlo,i like a lot this dark exposure to show us the last lights of the day on this small and unknown lake, very bright red and impressive sharpness on the dark silhouettes in backlight, great atmosphere and a lovely sensation of peace and quiet. Have a good night and thanks,Luciano

hello Laszlo
Ce paysage est superbe, bien équilibré et bien cadré.
Bel effet des branches qui se découpent dans le ciel et le reflet.
Bonne journée
Roland

Great night shot with the atmosphere and perspective effects,
the right side tree branches are viewed better in this one,
great composition by the upside down. TFS

Hello Laszlo,
impressing landscape photography of trees mirrored in a lake's amazingly calm surface.
Mounting the scenery upside down has definitely added an increased sensation of magical attraction with deep emotional appeal.
Thank you my friend. Thank you also for your visit and kind words to some of my postings a few weeks ago. Hope you are fine and doing well.
With best regards,
Peter

P.S.: Have reduced the amount of time I am spending in front of a computer in favour of spending as much time as possible outdoors I have become an infrequent visitor also to our site. But I do enjoy coming here, discovering stunning presentations of nature photography by good old and new friends.
