Taken in March 2007 near the Bahrain International Circuit after the wettest winter in Bahrain for many years this Callous Leaved Gromwell was in full flower. The flowers and leaves of these plants are eaten by the spiny tailed lizrds (Uromastix microleptis) which are quite common in this area.
Many thanks to Ori (Fragman) for pointing out the correct name of the plant, see his critique posted on 16th Sept. Ori is a botanist by profession so I am sure this is correct. |

These flowers look so small and fine, made for extreme climats. Very beautiful with the grey background.
