Hello Christodoulos,
A superb, technically and esthetically excellent capture of a male Aricia agestis that is great to view.
The blunt abdominal tip tells us that this is a male, which differs it from a brown female icarus. The orange spots are also too large for this to be icarus.
Thanks and best regards,

Amazing, elegant composition, very beautiful! The background suits the butterfly very well. Kind regards,

Ciao Christodoulos. Razor detaisl and perfect sharp for this small one in brigh natural colours. Intrigant blurred BG.

(I became interested butterflies with your book.First time I saw your book at Yiannis)

Hello Christodoulous,
If a macro picture could be eated, I eat this! ... It's all colors, excellent lights, and a visual cadence very well maneged! ... bravo!
Regards TFS,

Hi Christodulos,

Awesome capture of this pretty Cypriot common beauty with impeccable clarity and great DOF.
On the id,i am sharing your opinion although the forewing spot in cell -which is characteristic for icarus- is not obvious due to the wing position, there is not hind wing paired spots, i.e. the distribution of the spots located in outer median margin are forming a regularly spaced arch. As i known, the missing spot in cell on the forewing and the paired spots on the hind wing are diagnostic features of agestis. So your beauty is icarus IMHO!
TFS and have a nice new week!

Ps. By the way, it would be nice to see your well prepared notes under the PN part MF!
