Wow - lovely shot, shame it is not facing towards the camera. A great capture with a sharp focus and frozen action. -P

a wonderful species of rodent. good presentation. tfs.

Great capture ... not an easy task. AND you got exceptional focus of this male Allactaga. I have many fleas from this genus from Mongolia. Would like to know how you accomplished this?

Have a great day,

Hi Ali
absolutely splendid shot, Ali! Look at all the details! This could be a Small Five-toed Jerboa (Dipodidae; Allactaga elater; Fünfzehen-Pferdespringer) because of the white "pants", maybe not A. williamsi. My compliments. How I came to ID: P. Humphreys & E. Kahrom, 1995, The Lion and the Gazelle: the Mammals and Birds of Iran, Comma International, Gwent, UK.. The book gave only an idea on where to look, the rest was found on Internet.
