|Here is another on e for last Friday. The same chalky hill had a lovely population of the Bee Bee-Orchid, with extra deep purple sepals. Here is one photographed under the morning sun with flash fill..|
Note the self pollination (the pollinia drooping down to the stigma) typical of this species.
As for the photography technique, it was difficult to get the sepals and the entire labellum in focus, but still I like this take, though not perfect, due to the combined-light effect and the colors.

A very colourful form of Ophrys apifera!
Once again the macro of the flower was taken to a high technical standard with the colours, sharpness and DOF at the top.
