Following my posting of yesterday (thank you, Ferran for your comment), here is another image of Biarum auraniticum. The genus name, “Biarum”, takes double meaning (pun not intended): I show here a PAIR of these Arum family plants...
The species name refers to the Horan, a region in southern Syria.
The picture was taken rather late in the afternoon, giving the light a special golden quality.
I added in the workshop a picture of a bud. Please have a look. |
