[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Colchicum feinbruniae, the Mosaic Meadow Crocous is another early blooming flower in our region. This rare species is from the Heights of Golan at an elevation of about 1000 m above sea level. The purple flowers with their fine mosaic pattern may reach a diameter of 8 cm. Like many of these early bloomers, they bloom before the leaves appear. |

Hello Ishi,
A superb capture of these striking Crocus flowers taken from a fine POV to make use of the nice lighting and the sharpness is impeccable. Excellent composition with their natural rocky habitat. I never realised the Golan Heights had such beauties!
Thanks and best wishes,
