This is a naturally germinating acorn of Quercus boissieri, The Cyprus Oak, found in Israel at higher elevations in the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights. While the acorn is above ground, the sprout has already taken root.

This is superb!
The colours are great and the vigour of spring is well shown in thias fine capture of a germinating Cyprus Oak acorn with excellent sharpness, colours and lighting.
