[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This colorful Centaurea is typical of dry chalky soil of mountains from Europe thru Armenia to Afghanistan. In Israe it is found only at the higher elevations of Mt. Hermon. The flower is quite large, about 35 mm in diameter.The stem mary reach 40 cm in height, but not in the harsh conditions of Mt. Hermon.
