This rare iris grows in the heights of Mt Hermon, at 2020m. It blooms in May when the rest of the sub-alpine local flora is still rather dormant.

Ori, when you get pictures of iris, I fall in love, I love Iris so much! This is such a nice species, incredible where it grows, it is so dry! Here, most iris grow in wet places or very humid soil. Thank you, very nice work, I appreciate each and every picture of yours.

Hi Ori,
this iris is very special and wonderful.
The leaves are decorated around the flower so pretty, also the colours are interesting.
Excellent work, pretty sharpness, it's a unique post, thanks

again, you give as such amazing flower in an extreme environment.
Details over the flower are great; good POV. The flower seems very big, do you know how big is it?

Beautiful specimen. Outstanding capture!

Haven't seen this one yet...

Hi Ori,

These desert Iris never fail to amaze me. Such a huge flower on minimal foliage, it's quite an incredible adaptation. And a really nice photo of it too. I like that you can see the plant's environment so well. You've taken advantage of the G10's increased depth of field due to its very short focal length due to its design. A very sharp image, as would be expected from that camera combined with your photography skills.

je ne connaissais pas ces iris! Quels pétales!
