This rare iris grows in the heights of Mt Hermon, at 2020m. It blooms in May when the rest of the sub-alpine local flora is still rather dormant.

Beautiful flowers Ori, I like that you included the enviroment in the background as it is proof that one can find beautiful organism in such a harsh looking environment. I just watched a video on making a salad from base of a cat tail root stalk, they also mentioned the similarity of a water iris's stalk root and that one had to be careful not to mis-identify the two because the water iris is poisonous.
