|The Anatolian orchid, as it grows in Israel. It blooms in the spring time at elevations over 500 meter above sea level, where rain fall is sufficient. Quite rare, this specimen was photographed at 1100 meter, quite close to peak of Mt. Meron, the highest peak in the Upper Galilee (1208 m).|
It would be interesting to compare this one to the specimens photographed in Anatolia, Turkey.
