Epipactis helleborine is one of our latest blooming orchids. It is found only in the northern part of the country, typically in the shade of the horesh. This particular specimen is from Mt. Meron at about 1100 m above sea level. The plant may reach 50 cm in height and carry score of flowers each our to 20 mm across.

Hello Ishi,
We also have this species of Epipactis growing in our pine forests but they don't start to flower until July!
This is a good way to capture this large sopecies, the florets being sharply portrayed with fine sharpness and colours.
