[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This Bee Orchid known as the Short-Petalled Ophrys, and has a wide Mediterranean range. This phenotype is typical of Israeli O. bornmuelleri, and comes in different variants. The flower is small, about 25 mm in width. The entire plant may reach about 30 mm in height, and carry up to a dozen flowers.
Note the little tooth at the tip and the little horns at both sides of the lip. Those are good signs of identification. |

Hi Ishi,
This is a very good photo of the orchid. Image quality is very good with excelent DOF covering most of the flower. Due to image quality even the fine details of petals can be well observed. Moreover composition looks great. I like very much how you rendered the flowers colors against the gray blurry background.
Thank you for sharing,
Cristian
