[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Cyclamen coum is very rare in Israel fond only in the highest spots in the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights. These specimens are from the northern Golan.

To quote the Cyclamen Society wed site “Cyclamen coum is found in the mountains and coastal areas that border the southern and eastern Black Sea coasts from Bulgaria in the west through Georgia and the Crimea in the east. It is also found in the Elburz Mountains of northern Iran. In southern Turkey it extends from the Hatay in southern Turkey, down the eastern Mediterranean coast through Syria and the Lebanon into Israel. It grows in shady places in coniferous and broadleafed woodland and scrub, sometimes growing amongst tree roots and rocks”. Indeed these were photographed under an oak tree. The petals are about 15 mm long. Note the typical leaf.

A great portrait of this rare and beautiful Cyclamen. The flowers look beautiful both in the light and shade and the fresh-looking leaf completes the composition and portrait nicely against the dried leaf and twig BG.

Hello Ishi,
This little Cyclamen is a real beauty with the dark markings on the petals. Lovely colours too and a fine composition. I noticed Ori had the same species in the snow!
