[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an annual of extreme hot deserts. It germinates and develops in rainy years only, like this year. The average rain-fall in the area is about 25 mm. It develops fast and stores water in its fleshy leaves. Note the broken granite rock on which it grows here. Flower and fruit are seen.

A larger specimen is shown in the WS, growing on sand in re deferral area. The flower is abut 4 mm in diameter.

Hi Ishi,a very curious specie living in the desert.Great capture from above and a very useful WS showing us a large view on the sand, impressive quality as usual.Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Hello Ishi
Plants always amaze where they grow and tolerate such harsh condition. Very unique and shown with excellent sharpness and colour. The plant in a nice contrast to the granite rock (which are really pretty).

Interesting plant, reminds me a bit of the mandrake with yelllow instead of violet flowers
