Long-eared Hedgehog (Hemiechinus auritus):
I got this little guy in our (former) garden in the costal plain of Israel. It kept still when I approached it and allowed me to flash it at very close range. This is a fast and agile animal usually, and somewhat friendly (clearly not like the 10 foot hedgehog "Spiny Norman" of Monty Phyton fame).

Hi Claus,
you just surprised this nice little Hedgehog. Good shot. In Switzerland we have only the
western European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus).
