[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
White Wagtail, my 3rd picture on it, scientific name: Motacilla alba, called in Israel "Nachliely".
It is a tiny bird, and usually comes as a "messenger" to winter here in Israel.
It has a pleasant twitt, unique sounds.
20-28gr weight, 9cm tail out of max. 20cm length, white belly, grey to black wings.
It's twitt is pleasent and with fine musical tone and it is a swift and lovely bird to watch: never on "rest" mode.
One more Nachliely picture posted on TE.

Shalom, my "dear" friend, Ike.
I saw this species in Accre 2 years ago. Could not get a great image; had taken the tiny Sony DSC H9.
For a small Lumix this is indeed a GREAT REGISTRATION.
Short, consise, yet HIGHLY EDUCATIVE note.
Going to Europe this Summer... Terceira Azores.
Shall remember you there.
Warm regards from COLD COLD Canada.
