[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The sea is the basic home of all molluscs.
I found that sea snail in an unspoilt beautiful beach(Mediterraenean Sea), put it on a rock & waited eagerly for it to come out of its shell.
Guess it was worthwhile.
In the sea places rich in food are particularly inhabited by snails. Such places especially are the tidal region (litoral region), coral reefs and similar habitats, as well as the ocean floor. Some snails have adapted specially to life in the tidal region. They have shells with thick walls or a very strong foot, by which they can cling to the rock surface, so that it is barely possible to separate them from it without harming the shell.

Well the strange looking snail really was wotrh waiting for Irith. It is a very good capture with a lot of details. DOF is spot on and the handling of the light is good not burning the white parts of the shell. Well done.

Very interesting, is it a winkle? I don't know. I like the detail and the glistening body, great work.
