Delicate showy perennial, with a small underground corm, covered by dull black scales.
Leaves: Basal, usually longer than the flowers, 6-15 mm wide, folded at the midrib, narrowing at the tip.
Flowers: 2.5-4 cm in diameter, white with brown midrib, usually in sessile groups, rarely in singles, with very clear nectary glands.
Habitat: Warm sandy soils in the Jordan Valley, Judea area, Dead Seaand Wadi Araba.,
