[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Arthropoda: Insecta: Dictyoptera: mantodea

Mantids are well known predators, females are even known to prey on males just as soon as the mating ends. This little mantid (most probably a larvae, ~2 cm long) is waiting for its next unsuspecting victim, standing very still and blending in perfectly with the thorny vegetation of the area.

I would highly apprecitate it if anyone could give an exact identification of the species, or even just the genus.
