|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This cute fella was just outside of our door. I took plenty of photos and while I was shooting it was checking me out. It was very cooperative, photographer friendly :)|
It stood there for almost 6 hours. İt was quite tiny about 3cms long and the photo you see is 1:1. At first I thought of cropping the face but then I decided not to. I think the whole body makes sense here. Well, maybe tomorrow I'll crop the face and show you those tiny eyes.
Single SB-800 was used as a fill flash combined with tungsten light lighting the subject from overhead.

Very interesting note. I welcome your experiments. Thank insect a lot for cooperating. f/32 – it is great but DOF is shallow a bit.
It is possible to increase the DOF if to increase the shooting distance. I am sure you know it.
Portrait of this cute insect is perfect. Excellent sharpness, details and coours. My best wishes and TFS.
This species belongs to family Tettigonidae (genus Phaneroptera??).
Anyway, this is really nice portrait, with good details especially well seen on insect's head. The only thing I would like to change is the BG - not very natural ;>
Summarizing: very nice presentaion!

Good photo and very funny insect. His head is very good detailed and I like the bright green. The background makes a good contrast with the colours.
Nice shot!Very good colors, excellent sharpness!!!
