[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I came across this discarded molt of cicada when chasing damselflies. Its former inhabitant kindly disposed it on a place where the light of evening sun illuminated it like a night lamp.

It did not require the patience of shooting a live subject, but I find it interesting still.

I want to dedicate this photo to spalaxtr (Mustafa Sozen). As a late thank for his kindness.

Thanks for looking

Hello Ali.
This photo is amazing! This is a very interesting post and educative post. Details, lightning, POV, DOF, contrast, composition, everything is good in this picture.
Best regards Siggi

Ali, I thank you for looking at my butterfly picture and leaving your critique on it.
This is my first interaction with you on TN (I presume) and I notice that you are more into flora as a nature photographer.
The Cicada molt you have posted looks good to me mainly for its almost golden colour. Since it was not going anywhere, you took this shot with utmost care, using the ambient light very thoughtfully. The exposure is balanced with not the slightest exaggeration on any part of the molt.
Latch on to the promise you hold as a gifted nature photographer.
