PS: Three days ago, I labelled this bird as Lullula arborea - Orman Toygarı [TR], Woodlark [EN]. Our friend Ivan Kruys (argus) kindly corrected species name as "Anthus trivialis". Many thanks Ivan for correction. Sorry all of you visited before this notes.

Hi Ahmet,

This Woodlark is so adorable - is he a juvenile? He has a very impish look on his face. I wonder if I'm the only one who sees human expressions on birds' faces. The clarity of this shot is amazing and the lighting is fantastic. I love the feathers on the top of his head, his wonderful eye and beak and the beautiful plumage. A beautiful beautiful setting and composition.

Günaydin dostum Ahmet,
I am sorry I missed this fine shot! It is well composed and the subject contrasts nicely with the BG with fine sharpness and lighting.

This is well taken but from a POV that is not the best but I wonder if this is Lullula arborea?
The breast is spotted rather than streaked, the head shape is different and there is no light stripe over the eye.
To me this looks like Anthus trivialis that does nest in the area around the southern shore of the Black Sea.
Did you hear any sounds it made? A. arborea makes lots of musical calls all the time.
We have small flocks of them here but i have not photographed it yet!
Thanks and best wishes,

Salam Akhi Ahmet,
very beautiful capture in great clarity. The deep green in the blurry background is really putting your shot into its class.
The head and the torso with lovely feathers are captivating. The bird is very lively and you presented it very well, in a pretty shot and excellent pose.

NB: we are reaching the last 10 days, we have to put in our effort more so that Lailatul Qadr could be benefitted.
Taqaballah min kum.

Hello Ahmet
