[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Corvus corax - Kuzgun [TR], Common Raven, Northern Raven [EN] is a large, all-black passerine bird in the crow family CORVIDAE and one of the biggest bird of the order PASSERIFORMES all over the world, with a lenght of 55-69 cm.
By the time, I already posted five species of the family CORVIDAE; however, the Turkish ornithofauna consists of 11 crow species. These species and some photographes posted by me as fallow:

The shot was taken three days ago between Dörtdivan and Yeniçağa districts of Bolu Prov. There were more than one hundred ravens and more than thirty Aegypius monachus - Kara Akbaba [TR], Black Vulture [EN] and one Aquila heliaca - Şah Kartal [TR], Imperial Eagle [EN] (FALCONIFORMES: ACCIPITRIDAE) on wasteland.

So this time a flying crow :) In Poland we say it "kruk" :>
I like this picture a lot. Interesting is - how did you take such photo? Were you flying next to this bird? Or maybe picture was taken from top of some mountains?
By the way, interesting note, I had no idea that there are so many Corvus species in Turkey!

the attribution of this difficult black color is very good, shiny and with very good details, really froze the moment in one beautiful pose that leaves the impression of movement, it's a great in flight shot!

A wonderful in-flight capture of Corvus corax. The side POV shows the features and wings in a great position in fine lighting. The massive bill of this our largest passerine, is well shown.

Hi Ahmet,

I'm afraid I will never learn to distinguish a crow from a raven! At least now I know the raven is in the crow family. A fantastic in-flight shot with marvelous clarity. The face and wings are beautiful. The sparkling eye on the black face is superb. Wonderful against the perfect blue sky.
