Going through photos from 2010 to select images for publication of archaeological excavation at Kerkenes I came across this picture of a toad that was crawling around the dig house hunting moths beneath the lights. I suppose its a spadefoot? They are commonly found on the excavtaion and spawn in seasonal pools in late April, at an altitude of about 1400m absl |
