Trachylepis aurata (Levant Skink, Tiknaz Kertenkele [Turk.]).
Familia: Scincidae
They are robust lizards (as you see in the photo) with the total length up to 20-25 cm. Nuchal scales are not keeled. Auriculum doesnt exist. Dorsum is grey, brown or olive green with some seperate markings on it.
Two species of Trachylepis live in Turkey, other one is T. vittata. You can find information about this species on Bayram Gocmens (boreocypriensis) page.
It distributes in western, southern, middle and eastern parts of the Turkey. Its range also includes Middle East, North Africa, some Mediterranean islands and from southwestern Asia to Turkmenistan.
It is an ovoviviparous lizard and a female gives birth to 4-8 young.

A fine capture of a beautiful skink in its natural environment Bahar, however "dumpy" is not a correct term in describing lizards, you should be more careful with your terminology my friend.
