Today's post belongs to a rare butterfly on TN. I think that this is second post of Hyponephele (Turaninephele) wagneri - Ağrı Esmer Perisi [TR], Wagner's Steppe Brown (LEPIDOPTERA: SATYRIDAE) after Özgür's first one.
The butterfly ranges in Turkiye, Irak, Iran, the Caucasus and the Transcaucasus. In our country, it is found in Turkish Akdeniz [Mediterranean] Region to southeastern corner, including Adana, Adıyaman, Ankara, Antalya, Bingöl, Bitlis, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzincan, Gaziantep, Hakkari, Karaman, Malatya, Mardin, Mersin, Niğde, Siirt, Sivas, Tunceli, Urfa, Van, Şırnak provinces.
It gives two generation during flight time of June to September.
It respectively very rare species in Turkiye. I found it in a valley just after visiting the breeding station of Geronticus eremita (Kelaynak, Bald Ibis) (CICONIIFORMES: THRESKIORNITHIDAE) in Birecik District. The valley was surrounded reddish rock wall. The butterfly rested on a wall.
Thanks for visiting and comments.

Günaydin Ahmet dostum!
A fine capture of this Middle Eastern species of buttefly that is rare in your country and absent from Europe.
The POV shows the features of H. wagneri with fine sharpness and DOF against a pleasing OOF natural BG.
Irt must have been a very interesting part of Turkey to visit.
Cok tesekkür Ahmet ve eline saglik,
Ivan

This is a very interesting species which I see for the first time. Happily I discovered it at least! Looking for birds and finding rare butterflies, this is just great.
Fine and natural shot showing well the beautiful wings of this Hyponephele-species.
Thanks and kind regards
