good pov and lucky it was harmless, good to see the name in a foreign language. Pity the focus is just off its eye but shows up the yellow collar nicely.

Great image of this snake, its colours are lovely. It is a little out of focus but we won't discuss that too much, the interesting image makes up for it. Nice one.

I like your pic. The colors and contrast are good. I my opinion, you loose a llittle the focus on the eye.

I know that snakes with their movements are problematic models.

Hello again!
At first I have to say that it is nice to see on TN another zoologist! And a specialist of mammals is really needed! :) I hope to see soon a lot of different vertebrates from the Middle East in your presentations :)
And now a few words about this picture.
Nice close-up, you had to come very close to this snake. I like also perspective of this photo (camera on the ground??). On the other hand a little better depth of field would be nice to keep all snake's hand sharp. But I also know that snakes do not want to co-operate to much :)
As I see here is an adult specimen. Do you know which subspecies is it? As I know there are at least two of them (I had possibility to take photo of a young individual of Natrix natrix persa).
