I've been waiting for a follow-up to the Tulip Shell! This is another beauty with the wonderful shades of pink. Excellent details of the pretty patterns of the shell. I love the shape. The black background is perfect to show it off.

Another very fine studio image of a beautiful shell looking really three dimensional here. Wonderful pattern and colours and an interesting note too.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla
Merhaba Mehmet Bey,
I am impressed by the sharpness and detail shown on this Maiden's Purse Cockle taken from to show us these aspects at their best from a great POV and with superb lighting.
I notice the small pores along the edges, something I have seen when looking at shells casually along the beach and I still wonder what causes these. It looks like the effect of acids - carbonic from other organisms?
TFS this beauty,

As usual, my dear friend Mehmet, another learning experience here, fir me!
Thank you so much!
this one i REALLY like...those lines and that colour range...as always very well presented, sharply focusesed and lit...do you ever consider taking photo's of them in their natural envirnoment, or this not really practical?
tfs another beauty,

I like the names given to your fantastic shells, Mehemet.
'Maiden's Purse' is a fancy name, but very apt.
I can't stop myself admiring those nature-crafted geometrical lines and designs on it. The angle of its well-controlled exposure is just perfect.
Thanks for resuming posting of these wonders of nature from your rich collection.

Perfectly focused and composed,I love the sharpness and colours!
My parents had a rich shellfish collection, the master piece was the "conus Gloria Maris", very rare, now in a museum.
But, I realize I recount memories of my Childhood...
Best regards, Thierry

Wonderful shot of this Maiden's purse shell, as always the detail and colours are just exceptional, t.f.s
Cheers Rick :)
What a beautiful capture you share with us...this definitely has a feminine touch and the name so rightly fits in...the shades of pink on each line on the shell looks so muh like a print straight out of lovely cotton fabric we get here in India.
The texture looks wonderful too.The dark BG helps maintain the focus well on the shell excellently.
Thanks so much for sharing this.
I would love to add this to my favourites.
