The spring came already in Turkey! Although these flowers blossom earlier. But these days even for these flowers too early. Today it was around 20 degrees Celsius. This temperature woke up the nature early. Today I saw from my window that almond trees blossom in the garden. This is 4th February! It's too early! I guess, even I know (with my experiences) it will snow in March and all flowers will freeze. Usually in my country February is a little bit warm, but unlike in March the weather is colder.

Crocuses are big Genus which host about about eighty specieses. Thus, it is too difficult to know which species of crocus, we have seen. But I think, even I'm sure that this is Crocus biflorus. :)

About technique: I used my 50 mm Minolta Macro Lens with 2x Kenko Tele Converter (It makes my lens 105 mm). The flower was a little bigger and I was very closer to the flower. Because of this ıt is too difficult to take a clean image with wide aperture value. I chose f 13 and it was an enough value to seperate the main object from blurry background. In PS CS4, I adjusted levels, contrast and saturation. After resizing I sent here and shared with you.

Enjoy :)

A perfect photo!

Blue is always beautiful for me Fevzi! And the small drop of water, as you know from your years...is a magic additional!

Hi Fevzi!

I for my part especially like the simplicity of the picture. The Crocus is a wonderful flower, and I'm looking forward to seeing them here in my country. The atmosphere you have created in your picture with the dark background and the delightful blue coming out of it is very nice.

Kind regards

Bravo, dear Fevzi.
It is truly piece of art. I love pictured subject – amazing flower with attractive water drops on its petals. Wonderful delicate lighting and tender colours, blameless framing and composition of the shot. My best wishes and TFS.

une tres belle macro toute en delicatesse
la goutte d'eau est superbe, de belles couleurs et un bokeh bien maitrisé

Merhaba Fevzi,
this is a wonderful capture well composed with fine details.
I like the fabulous colors.
Very well done

Fevzi bey merhabalar
yine ahrika bir kare. Işık ciceğin uclarında çok güzel.

Abstre imge denilebilecek güzellikte nefis bir Crocus çekimi Fevzi, su damlasının katkısı da harika olmuş dostum, kutlarım.

Bonjour Fevzi,

Nice Photo Mr. Yapici!!!

Greetings Fevzi,

This is an elegant composition, simple but very beautiful, and blue flowers are favorites of mine. Very nice image.

A suggestion though: perhaps some experimentation with camera placement and a smaller f/stop to get a little more depth of field may have been in order. The closest part of the petals as well as the lower parts of the flower are just a little too soft to be the perfect image. I think that the 2X tele converter maybe made things worse, as a shorter focal length may have given you a little better depth of field.

Thanks for sharing this image with us.

Merhaba Favzi,
very lovely flower indeed. Nicely captured with grains and veins of the petal. so lovely and petit. The water droplets make it more beautiful.
Excellent composition in a soft and smooth view.
