|Cercis siliquastrum L.|
Shrub or tree, 2-10 m. Leaf lamina 7-12 cm diam., simple, suborbicular, cordate; Flowers ± precocious, pink, fasciculate and flowers c. 10 to a fascicle. Calyx c. 5 mm, pinkish, the teeth c. 1 mm.
Corolla 15-20 mm, bright pinkish-purple. Legume 6-10 x 1.5-2 cm, narrowly winged on the ventral suture, brown. It opens flover 4-5. month. It grows macchie and deciduous forest, between about 1.-1370 meter.
It has got two subspecies;
1. subsp. siliquastrum
1. subsp. hebecarpa
Common Turkish name is "Erguvan" and very pretty smells. Species grows by human in the garden and parks.
The characteristic feature; It opens firt time flower before than leaves, after grows leaf.

Very interesting flowers which look to scent alot. Interesting to learn that the flowers open before leaves...
Personally I would have lift a little bit my POV in order to avoid that white sky behind.
