Dear frends today another mushroom from me:) I found these two clsuters at the bottom of a tree trunk (I think a Cedrus tree) at the aprox. 1500 m asl in Uludağ Mts (Bursa) during my Bursa trip.

May be I am not a mycologist, but an enthusiastic amateur sharing my observatioons in the fascinating world of fungi. I am pretty know that fungi are a vital part of the ecosystem. They are the earth's recycling agents, decomposing dead plant material and returning nutrients to the soil. That is the main reason that why i gave such title.

I think this is a member of Gymnopilus (and junonius with a high possibility) growing on dead wood of a variety of trees. I am sure our fungi specialists will wrote correct id if it's wrong:) I also attached a workshop taken from more closer distance too.

In that time, of course i've remembered my Hungarian friend, Baratom Mr. Hormon:), aka Laszlo Kaposvari (Hormon_Manyer) to give him a pleasant gift!:) Hope he will like this:)

I’ll be away from TN approx. a week since tomorrow night I am going to Antalya province to search and photographing an endemic viper snake, camping at highlands. Therefore, I wish good luck to everyone!

TFL & Have a nice Sunday!

Sevgili engerek :)
Excellent capture of this fungi from Uludağ. I like the diagonal composition. Hope you will find this viper (and other interesting animals) during your trip. TC,

Hi Bayram, the use of the flash was decisive to warm the colors of these fungi so nices.Very good composition, great sharpness and a right dedication to the master....the fungi for him are like the reptils for you..eehhe..have a nice Sunday and thanks! Luciano

Hi Bayram,

Great shot of these two clusters at the bottom of this tree. You have used the flash well to brighten this area up, is it the built in flash you used or a separate one? The detail is very good and everything is in focus.
Great capture and TFS

Selam my dear friend,
A lovely capture of these beautiful mushrooms. And also a nice dedication for Laszlo. Very good composition and sharp details. Hope your trip to Antalya have great success. Happy journey. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Ciao Bayram, great capture of lovely fungi, wonderful light colors, beautiful details and excellent sharpness, very well done my friend, have a good Sunday, ciao Silvio

Selam bayram hocam. Çok albenili bir mantar. Rengarenk. Halka flaş yine işini çok güzel yapmış.
Emeğinize sağlık. Bol engerekli tatiller dilerim:)

Ciao BBB. Great work with the light to exalt the colours. Perfect DOF. Well done. Have a nice Sunday.

Merhaba Bayram hocam. Nefis iki yakın çekim. Halka flaş gerçekten çok yararlı görünüyor. Gölgeler neredeyse sıfır. Renkler de bir o kadar canlı. Emeklerinize sağlık sayın hocam.

Merhabalar hocam,
Bursa'dan öbek öbek ilginç bir ağaç mantarı. Mikolojiye kayıyor gibisiniz:)Vipera anatolica arazinizde başarılar. Benim bildiğim o Elmalı'da bulunan örnekten başka yeni kayıt yok.

Hello Bayram,
Beautiful photo of these fungi in splendid natuaral colours and very good sharp details. The wood is a fantastic BG here. Great POV and composition. Nice dedication to Lazslo and I wish you a good journey.

Hello Bayram,
Interesting capture. Nice details, colours and perfect focus.

Dayi renkleri o kadar goz dolduruyorki zannedersam bunlar zehirli:) Cok guzel cekimler.
Insallah aradigin engeregi bulursun dayi. Iyi yolculuklar sana. Selam ve sevgiler.

Merhaba hocam:) anlaşılan gitmeye hazır ve nazırsınız. Ben de öyle. Her iki kare de göz dolduruyor hocam. Emeklerinize sağlık.

hello Bayram
great sharpness and nice light
very good composition and beautiful colours
greeting lou

Hi Bareatom,

Thank You very much for your heartfelt dedication. It makes my day - together with my today detection (if microscopical analysis confirms my thoughts I had another 2nd finding in Hungary today morning). At the same time I'm sorry for commenting a bit lately, but I was on trip.

Both photos are very nice composition-wise, even if flash is able to make colors a little non-natural sometimes. Sharpness is top class, and what counts the most for me is Your true friendship. Thank You for everything Barea.

ID: without seeing the gills I can't be 100% sure, but from this - otherwise wonderful - POV the fungi rather seem Hypholoma lateritium (Schaeff.) P. Kumm. But I'm not totally sure, so other species like the one you named can't be excluded either.

Thx again for your kindness, have a nice and successful trip to Antalya. I'm already prepared to look at those Vipera anatolica photos.

Friendly regards, László

Bayram hocam umarım bu kez bulursunuz. Yolunuz açık olsun şimdiden. Fotoğraflar her zmanki gibi top kalite!
Emeklerinize sağlık. Saygılar.

Canim kardesim. ne kadar guzel mantarlar. Bende merak ettim yenir mi diye.. Bizim cam mantarlarinin kokusunu bile ozlemisim..Ellerine saglik. Insallah aradigin nadir engerek turunu bulursun biz de sayende gormus oluruz.. hayirli yolculuklar canim kardesim.. hepimizden sevgi ve selamlar..

Iyi aksamlar Bayram!
A fine and unusual for you capture of this fungal attack on the tree trunk: the tree is certainly doomed if not already dead!
The technical quality showing these two groups, use of flash and colours make this a great image set in a fine composition.
Thanks and have a good and successful trip to Antalya!
Cheers dostum

and appropriate framing, fine focus sharpness and details
to all the image, i love the warmer luminosity and colour tones, TFS

Merhaba Bayram hocam,
