Hello my friends,
In last weekend, I was in Silifke District (Mersin Prov.) which is located in the southernmost point of Turkiye. My close friend Mustafa Sözen (spalaxtr) and me visited famous Göksu Delta which is the the richest bird area in the country, with more than 350 bird species. We saw 64 species at least. One of these bird is Charadrius hiaticula - Halkalı Yağmurkuşu, Halkalı Cılıbıt [TR], Ringed Plover [EN] from the family CHARADRIIDAE (CHARADRIIDAE). It scopes the sun or sky in this scene.
Gert Ellstrom (ellis49) is right that I was on stomach during the photography:) I waited same position for several hours. But we captured many great and close photographs and short video movies of wader birds. My two CF cards (16+8 GB) got full. Most of birds were in a distance of 6-15m. As for this plover was about 7-8 m. During this shot, the sun was on the top, just noon time. Since shiny and harsh light, I preferred low ISO and arranged to 125; I also used 100 or lower ISO for some others.

Merhaba Ahmet hocam,
Fantastic image. Not only the bird but some pebbles are quite sharp, too, while the homogenic blue background is awesome. Nice natural colors - simply an image to be proud of. Bravo MF.
Friendly regards, László

Hallo Ahmet,
this is a great picture of the Ringed Plover.
I really like the low angle, on your stomach I suppose. :-)
The bird is sharp, amazed it could be done with this pretty cheap lens.
It's also well exposed with nice natural colours.
Well done, mf

Hello Ahmet,
Great photo taken from a perfect low POV. The pose with eye contact is impressive. Very good sharpness, details, DOF and composition. Very beautiful colours, also in the blurred BG.

Truly one of the most superbly executed shots I have seen in ages Ahmet! Bravo ! A celebration of amazing colors, awesome point of view and breathtaking detail on the top of the very carefully chosen aperture settings. Just ... look at this amazing Bokeh! Wow, Canon 600mm f/4 shines in glory here! Impeccable !

P.S. My 5D Mark to has a wider color gamut at ISO200. So I prefer to use those settings in bright daylight. The noise level is almost identical to that one on ISO100. Personal choice I guess, but try Ahmet!

Best Regards,
George Veltchev

Merhaba Ahmet dostum,
What a fine capture!
The low lateral POV, the pose, lighting, natural colours and sharpness contribute to a superb portrait of a Ringed Plover in winter plumage. The composition with the fine pebbled beach is also excellent.
Cok tesekkürler Ahmet,

Salam Akhi Prof. Ahmet,
very beautiful indeed. Very professionally done with so narrow depth.
This results in excellent details and superb clarity. The excitement is when the bird gives a good eye glance.
Worth waiting and worthy preentation.

Hallo Ahmet
We have returned from a lovely holiday in the Kruger after 3 weeks and I missed out on such a lot of great images in this time. In the meantime our 1st grandchild has also been born and Trek Nature had to wait for both Loot and me to get over our excitement.

You have outdone yourself again my friend. This is such a lovely species and you have captured it so well showing all the remarkable details to its best. The colours are very soft on the eye, and the technical aspects of your photography is great in all aspects. Focus, viewpoint, sunny colours and composition is only a few to mention that I favour looking at this image. It was indeed a pleasure to stop by this splendid shot. Best regards and thanks for sharing.
