Polyommatus (Agrodiaetus) Ninae, (Forster, 1956)
Nina's Blue

Turkish Name: Nina'nın Çokgözlü Kelebeği.

Distribution in Turkey: Eastern Anatolia.

Distribution in the world: Azerbaijan, Armenia and Iran.

Living Area: Hot and dry places above 1500 metres.

Flight time: A single generation. Mid July to mid-August.

Food Plants of the caterpillar: Caterpillars, Sainfoins and other legumes(Fabeceae).

Description-Notes: A small butterfly. Wing-top, clear greenish blue, and in some respects appear. The rear wing, the outer half of the black veins are covered in scales. Bottom side of the rear wing reddish-beige in color. The bottom edge spots, black spots similar adverts fuzzy rear wing middle outer band (Elbursian Blue, Azerbaijan Blue) is smaller than in accordance with. Some spots may be missing. This species, stretch outward from the rear wing white ribbon. The lower edge of the rear wing and the discoidal spot faint spots or inaccuracies evident.

Wingspan: 28-30 mm long.

Similar Species:
• Caspian Blue - Polyommatus transcaspicus, (Staudinger,1899)
• Caucasian Eros Blue – Polyommatus elbursicus, (Forster, 1956)
• Eriwan Brown – Polyommatus eriwanensis, (Forster, 1956)

Species Agrodiaetus About:
Agrodiaetus typical type of section, "Papilio damon" by Denis and Schiffermüller, Vienna, described in 1775 based on samples collected at the same time this section of the first type. Sulzer in 1776, "Papilio Biton" type, Esper, in 1783, Eastern Europe, "Papilio admetus" defines the type. Thereafter, 19 Century with the classification of this group began to take shape. Latreille, Polyommatus identified in 1804. Hübner, Agrodiaetus identified in 1822.
Agrodiaetus species, in which they represented different numbers of chromosomes made the most attractive because of the butterflies has received much attention as a group. Researchers have a wide variation in this section where the ability of taxa, the number of chromosomes reconciles the broad spectrum.
Karyological research results have shown that the number of chromosomes in species of butterfly Agrodiaetus in groups exhibit a very big change. External morphological characters are approved detected in species richness. However, due to the dis kolayhgi morphological features in this group of methods is preferred for many years. After a break of at least 20 years of karyological methods, again, and this time began to be used more intensively.
