caterpillars live polyphagous on herbs and dwarf shrubs, often on Alchemilla or Geranium sp.
Habitat:M.alpicola colonizes alpine meadows, pastures, forb communities and rocky slopes from around 1000m above sea level upwards.
distribution in mountains Morocco,S Europe and extends to Central Asia.

Well captured this Caterpillar in its natural habitat. I haven't seen such situation before 😂
