Ok, so it's a seagull. Just a normal, mid-Canada gull.
These birds are scavengers though. They've been known to take food right out of your hand.
This one seemed to have an injured wing though and my friend and I took a little pitty on it. I guess as a "thank you" it let us photograph it. Too bad I only had my little stylus with me.
