A very interesting side on shot of this crab spider. It is quite amazing to see how many colour variations one find of this arachnid species.
I like your composition and POV very much. The colours are rich and the details are well defined. However, since you had spare light to work with as is evident from the 1/640 shutter speed, I think you could have done well to close down on the aperture, possibly to f/11, which would have brought even the legs into full focus. This would not have had any other negative impact since the BG is dark and it would not have change at all. For that very reason the BG did well to enhance the spider and made it to stand out clearly. The exposure was well managed to prevent any OE on the white parts of the spider.

was für eine schöne seitenansicht dieser krabbenspinne, sky! :-)
hier tauchen ja immer wieder welche auf bei TN, leider habe
ich in der natur dieses jahr noch keine entdeckt.
eine wunderschöne komposition mit klasse details und farben -
das zarte weiß der spinne mit ihrem rosa flecken ist super
(und erinnert mich irgendwie an gorbatshov *g*), genauso gut
gefallen mir die "stacheln" auf der pflanze (die rose?),
die der spinne ein wenig den weg versperren.
danke für diese gelungene macro-aufnahme & viele grüße, thorsten.
