[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello friends, today I have 2 anniversaries,
it is my birthday anniversary and it is also
my 9th anniversary on TrekNature.

On this occasion I decide to celebrate it
with one of my favourites birds to shoot
in photo the American Woodcock.

This American Woodcock is on its nest,
it was first (by its nose) found than pointed
by Bobcat Celtick my pointing dog few days
ago on Marsh 30 2016.

I have a friend that he do woodcock banding,
once the chicks are hatched we will go with
him to band them, my friend told me the
American Woodcock it is one of the birds
that starts its nesting very early in spring.

1/800s f/8.0 ISO1000 85mm (35mm eq:127mm).

Nice to see this Woodcock in her natural habitats. So many obstacles, but ficus on bird is sharp and well details.

"Happy Birthday" and congratulations on 9yrs. here on TN. A wonderful image of this well camouflaged Woodcock amongst the dead leaves. These are remarkable birds which I always look forward to seeing each year up at Magee Marsh. Beautiful earth tones colors and displaying excellent detail.
