"Nice to meet you!"
White-Tailed Deer (male)
Odocoileus virginianus

Those animals:
* are the most widely distributed and the most numerous of all North America’s large animals.
* leave their fawn unattended for hours at a time.
* may have difficulty surviving the winter, particularly if there are too many deers competing for food or if snow is deep.
* occasionally get their antlers hopelessly entangled with those of another male during a mating season battle, resulting in the

slow death of both animals.

Taken at the Ecomuseum at the end of October.
Thank you for looking at me, deer.

Wow Luc!
Did you use a telephoto with this big guy or did he let you get this close? Oops, I see you got him at the Ecomuseum. Still a fine specimen. Very nice capture and excellent note. I saw a video of two with their horns locked before, quite moving.
Thank you for sharing,
Ps I have enjoyed browsing your selected favorites this evening. Thank you! I especially loved the Milkyway and the Kingfisher shots.

Hello Luc,

Nice to meet your white tailed deer.

Beautiful creature, I find their eyes often seem gentle in nature, however, they can be ferocious when threatened, I have heard.

A wonderful composition, with sharp details, great colors, POV, and lighting.

I especially like the head-on pose, eye contact, and skinny legs. :-))

Thank you for sharing him with us.

Hi Luc:

Lovely picture, great sharp, DOF,and composition.

"Nice to meet you too deer!!"
What a beauty he is, Luc my deer. I like how he is looking at you, no doubt saying,
"Hey, I've seen you before and I know you won't hurt me with that box you're holding!" I love him Luc, thank you.
Have a good Sunday and be good...

This is a nice portrait shot with a good exposure & POV. Paul :)

Quel bel animal ! Votre cliché me fait du bien en le rergardant... Ces jours je brasse du béton et je ne vois plus la nature autrement que par TN. Merci Luc.

Good shot Luc. Very good eye-contact and nice composition. Sharp details and perfect exposure. Well done & TFS!

Very nice Luc, I like your title. Sharp details, great light and color..OK - Think I'll get that apron on and find the duster ;-)

Hi Luc,

Nice eight pointer, got the pot roast ready.
This one has the nck swollen, looking for a fine dame.
Excellent shot and well done on the composition.
I had a fair share of trophies out here in the wild, but, no way they want their mug taken.

Hi Luc,
Excellent shot of this big buck White Tail. He knew you were taking his photo, as he is eye to eye here. Great colors and detail in this light. The good DOF works well here. Nice shot!

Personal assessment of the photo: very good. Clear and descriptive. Good contact with subject.
Overall impresion: elegant.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.
Thank you very much Luc :D
Regards my friend.

Excellent capture, good sharpness and a sad story. I saw two with antlers locked on Nova last week; one already dead and the other struggling. It is incredibly sad and an example of nature at it's most brutal.
