Make your own Snowflake!

An interesting site on snow cristals.

These flakes rested on the black slope covered with ice of a bridge in a park close of at home. I used the macro mode of my little Canon Powershot S2. I was the first surprised to get this result.
Thank you for looking.

Beautiful patterns you've shown us Luc.
And interesting to note that no two are exactly the same...Very well done my friend.
Thank You!

Hi Luc,
it's a beutiful pattern and form.
We have a lot of snow at the time, and all flakes are not equal so I wonder how many forms it will be. ;-))
Very well done, MYB&OF

Facinating and beautiful Luc!
Quite the work of art by the One who created the snowflake and the one who recorded it for us to enjoy!
Very nice!
Thanks,
Dave

Awesome patterns Luc. And I have downloaded the pages to look over - as I have said before, I know nothing about Snowflakes, only that no two are the same. What a Creator...

Nice shot of the snowflakes. The pattern looks a bit like a fractal. Well done.

This is definitely the best of the series, and the others are all very good too! The dark BG brings them out nicely. Where did you find these, on glass or ice somewhere? Well-spotted!

Gabi

Hello Luc!
Wonderful capture.Details, contrast, dark BG and composition are excellent.TFS...:-)

Hi Luc,
it's marvelous - I would also like to make such shots - and we have a lot of snow - but it has rained and there are no cristals there, what a pity. So I love to look at your perfect snowflakes, thank you very much, excellent work. Bye

Talk about symmetry in nature.

Hi Luc.
Very nice photo, excellent composition.
Saludos and happy new year 2006...RICARDO

Beautiful macro shot of the cystaline entity from deep space...ok upper atomosphere. I am amazed at the well defined detail in the flakes. Well done Luc! :)

You always amaze me with your flakes. The details you show are stuning. Things like this make me wonder... why 6?
It is a very beautiful macro, Luc.
As always my best transoceanic regards for you :)

Ideal y motivante foto para ilustrar textos de estructuras cristalinas. Parece mentira que tan pocos átomos den para tanto. Duc, gracias por la difusión de tan estética imagen.

This is just beautiful Luc.

I can't believe you took it with the S2.
