[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today we were out snooping to see what Mother Nature had for us to marvel at, well the weather was not the best with snow showers and cloud most of our time out. But the creatures were happy the main storm had stopped. This pair of Sandhill Crane even entertained us with a bit of mating dance. They would bounce up and bow down, open their wings and generally put on a show. Even though the quality is hurt by the snow showers a bit, I thought posting this would give you an idea of what spectacle we observed today.

Hello Rick,

Hi Rick,

Too bad we weren't neighbors today - what a contrast that would have been. I wish I could have seen this show the Cranes put on but I would probably be too frozen to snap a picture. I can see the wind blowing. Beautiful shot and your title is perfect. Great poses, details and winter colors.

Awesome shot Rick. I would love to see a pair of these birds like this, no matter what the weather was like. It looks a little dark, and it might have been that way with the weather, but I thought I'd play with it a bit in the sandbox to give you another option.

Thanks, John

Hello Rick, very nice picture with a wide frame, I like it. As usual, your subtle natural colours are superb even though the light is dim, as you tell us. Yet it is sharp, detailed and the pose of the two birds is quite funny with the title. It must be quite a show to observe, wow! Thank you again for sharing your great expeditions with us.

Hi Rick,
I can believe that this was quite a spectacle that you observed. I never have the chance to see those elegant birds in real… Looking at this behavior, I guess that spring will soon reach your part of the country as well soon. This almost monochrome capture looks like a movie scene. Thanks for the beautiful notes and moment,

Sure looks a bit like my Palouse rick...very much with one major exception!!!!! snow is finally gone...and now that I say that it shall return...I hope not...well good title showing your projection of what could possibly be quite true!

Hello Rick,
nice capture, good composition and point
of view, lovely colors and light, very good
sharpness and depth of field, great poses.
