Hi Janice,

I see that it's been quite awhile since you posted on TN also. Welcome back! This photo is a superb one to return with! I love the eyes of your fox cub. The ears are right perked up, listening for anything that might indicate danger or food (depending on how developed his/her hunting prowess is at this point). The colours are great, and you've caught enough sun on the cub's face to show it off well. TFS.

Hi Janice,what a little charmer this young fox is and ever so alert.I have a soft spot for foxes and of course many thousands of photos of these attractive creatures.I like the colour and clear details you have captured and most of all the catch light in the kit's eyes,eyes that are so full of life.You like me,must of been able to get very close to the animal as 300mm lens would suggest.I hope you have had many opportunities viewing this years fox families and have tons of photos of them as well.How many foxes did you see at this den site?Thanks for sharing this lovely little fox with us,like chickadees,foxes are favourite creatures for me to see and photo.

Hello my Dear Friend,
Magnificent capture of this sweet little fox, I love how you have captured it in the mixed light. Resting in the shade, waiting for a meal to come home no doubt. Did you find them close to town? I have noticed that the foxes in the foothills and mountains in Alberta are much redder than their prairie cousins.

You and Rick Price. There must be quite a few of these up there on the prairie. I suspect they get a little bit jittery being so close to an air base. A fine full range of colour photo.

Wow I know it is months ago that you posted this image but it is great to see your name on my screen alongside the one of Rick Price. Thanks for sharing a super image of a young Red Fox at the time. This little one looks so peaceful and relaxed and seems so much at ease. I also like the environment which has spring so beautifully seen it.

Hi Janice,
Lovely image composition-wise. Beautiful capture of a young fox, great eye contact - as an interesting plus, the rocks in the foreground seem like bubbles, mostly from the thumbnail view. Huge congratulations for the great capture. The reason why I did my WS version is the heavy blue overcast, which is far from the optimal color settings in my opinion. Just a personal thought, obviously.

In Europe, in the late sixties it was very fashionable to wear a fox hat in winter...
