Hi Folks , today I have this close in macro of this little green guy. I really have no idea as to what exactly it is, but it was nice and cooperative to let me get this shot...
thanks for having a look
regards
Art
edit: turns out that this insect is a common sawfly , I thought it was interesting to learn that its larvae are caterpillar like. some sawflies cause leaf galls laying eggs but I dont think this one does... |

Lovely and extreme macro work from you friend Art! I like particularly the abstract effect of this shallow depth of field despite the use of f/22 here, which suggest that you have been quite close to the green bug. Is this some kind of a wasp? Beautiful colors and pleasant composition! Bravo!

Bonjour Art,
A real "Tête à tête" (head to head) shot, and he seems defying you. Nice sharpness on the eyes, I like the overall green environement. The DOF is shallow, but it emphasis the attention on its glance. We can feel slightly the presence of the flash, but it is well managed and its effect is not disturbing, instead if fills nicely any present shadows. Beautifull work and TFS.
